Helloooooo 2017! You haven’t seen much from us on social media lately, but rest assured- we’ve been BUSY! We started out the year with our annual Imaging USA convention where we go to learn from the best of the best in photography. It’s one of those things that is “work related’, but also super fun. This year the convention was held in San Antonio, TX…which meant I(Karen) got to take my very first plane ride. We wont go into specifics…but let’s just say that taking off from the Atlanta airport during the peak of an ice storm, after sitting on the tarmac for 5 hours in a plane covered in ice, well….it wasn’t the most positive take-off experience of my life, haha! I now know the true horrid feeling of a full on panic attack (how embarrassing!) Sitting on a plane for 5 hours however, you get to make lots of cool new friends! We actually got to know some really cool photographers from North Carolina, TPS Photography- they are amaze-balls. I was also comforted by the fact that we sat next to and made friends with a Mr. Vargas, who was a bodyguard and border patrol agent.
Anywho- once we finally got to Texas, we were thrilled to see that our hotel was even more spectacular than I had imagined. If you’re ever staying in San Antonio, you should definitely stay at the Riverwalk Vista Inn. Check out those floor to ceiling windows!
In between classes we tried to do a little sight-seeing since we were only a block or so from the Alamo. We were pretty busy most days with classes, so we didn’t get to do any guided tours or anything- but just seeing it was totally cool. We went out one night and got a night time shot:
And of course, the riverwalk is SO beautiful. It really is a gorgeous city.
Someone we met had mentioned the San Fernando Cathedral being really beautiful at night, so we took off one night to check it out. It was an amazing surprise to see that they actually were doing an animated art projection show on it that night. We watched the whole show twice.
We had a great time in TX. We made new photog friends, learned lots of new techniques, and while at the huge EXPO we got to check out tons of amazing new products that we want to offer our clients. As for now, I am right back where I am meant to be: on the ground in my small town of Bremen,GA. There’s just no place like our hometown.
We are so excited about 2017. We are implementing many changes for the better- not just for us, but mainly for our clients. This will be the year that we give our clients the best experience possible, our best images, new creative ideas, beautifully crafted products, and I can’t wait. Photography is so much more than a job for us, and it’s so much more than a usb for you….your images are your memories, your legacy. Let’s make some stunning imagery together this year.

That was a great trip! I wouldn’t want to live there but a great place to visit. Very happy to be home and extremely excited about the things to come.
